CPOC's Lawrence Mudford Awarded RCoA Medal

The RCoA College Awards honour exceptional contributions to anaesthesia, critical care, pain medicine, and related sciences. 

Lawrence has been awarded  the medal for his championship of the patient voice at CPOC. 

As CPOC's Patient Lead since its inception in 2019, Lawrence is awarded the College Medal for his compassionate and unpaid leadership, which has shaped the Centre's development, ensuring meaningful, patient-centred progress. Drawing on his 38-year career in dentistry, regulation and dental education, Lawrence is widely respected for his insight and pragmatism.

Lawrence will be presented with his award at the College Annual Dinner on 13 May 2026. 

CPOC, from its inception, has placed the patient voice central to all it does. This award therefore reflects a whole team effort in improving and benefiting patient care within POC.
